We are always looking for people interested in joining the Student Government Association. Those with a passion and love for Gateway Community and Technical College and improving student life are always encouraged to run for office.

How Can You Join?
One must be officially elected into office at the SGA. This process is introduced in early spring, with elections being held in late April to early May of each year. If you have a desire to run for office, contact the SGA Advisor for information and platform protocol. An SGA Election Application will be emailed to all students when elections are approaching. At any time, a student may alternatively complete an SGA Vacancy Application and submit it to the SGA for review and approval, post-election. Who Can Join?
We invite anybody interested in making a difference to join. Members must be a current GCTC Student, maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA, and be able to dedicate enough time to participate and make a difference in the organization. The finer points are listed in the SGA Application. Passion, ambition, and personal drive are all "must have traits" for the SGA. We encourage anyone with a burning desire to improve the lives of those around them to become active and get involved.

Benefits of Joining
There are several benefits of becoming a member of our organization. Our members are close friends and we have a great time when we get together. Of course, we also have a common interest, and we hope to further our cause. With GCTC in our hearts, the SGA strives to not only improve the lives of other students, but our own as well.
