Ready to Work

Description

Ready-to-Work (RTW) is a program developed through a partnership between the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) and the Kentucky Cabinet for Families and Children (KCFC) and is designed to promote the success of Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (K-TAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) eligible adults who are interested in attending community or technical colleges and could benefit from having a certificate, a diploma, an associate degree, or other short-term training opportunities. The program provides the RTW participant with a comprehensive network of support services including job and life skills training, academic success training, career and personal counseling, advising, mentoring, securing and retaining employment, tutoring, referrals to other agencies, and accessing supportive services such as transportation, child care, and housing through KCFC.
