Instant Message a Gateway Librarian!!

This service is typically available Monday through Thursday 8 AM - 8:00 PM and on Friday from 8 AM - 4 PM. This service is intended to assist you with brief research questions. If you have a lengthy or involved question, you may be asked to email us or to schedule a research consultation.

Instant Message a NKU Librarian

When a Gateway Librarian is unavailable, research assistance via Instant Messenger is available to GCTC students, faculty, and staff through Northern Kentucky University. Patrons needing in-depth reference and research assistance should contact a GCTC Librarian for a Research Consultation.

Instant Message uses the following services and screen names.

Use Meebo if you are using a GCTC campus computer. Meebo permits access to a variety of Instant Messenger services using a browser window without requiring any additional, downloaded instant messenger software.

Research Consultation

In-depth reference and research assistance is provided for extensive assistance to students, faculty and staff. Research Consultations can be scheduled to help assist with research strategies, techniques and library resources. Research Consultations can also include basic library resources and services overviews.
