The college is carefully using the Master Plan as programs are assigned to the Urban/Metro Campus buildings. The Master Plan was carefully created using input from community listening sessions and community partners. It complements the Covington City Center Action Plan and Vision 2015’s work on education, economic development and vibrant cities.
As repurposed buildings in the Urban Metro Campus footprint become available, the college looks to community and workforce needs to determine the scope and number of programs and services to be offered. The Gateway Center for Technology, Innovation and Enterprise, for instance, opened in 2014. It houses Information Technology, Visual Communication, Instructional Design and other cutting edge technological programs.
