Action Agenda

Next Steps

During the next year some exciting developments will take place. Here’s what can be anticipated.

  • The Campaign for Gateway will continue to seek private support for the Urban/Metro Campus and other projects from individuals, corporations, foundations, civic organizations and businesses.
  • The new Center for Technology, Innovation and Enterprise, formerly the Marx Furniture Building on Madison, welcomed students for the fall 2014 semester.
  • The Professional Services Center, formerly the Abode Furniture Store, is under construction. A ground breaking ceremony was held on October 7, 2014.
  • The Gateway Foundation, which owns the former Immanuel United Methodist Church, will commission work on an elevator and interior improvements so that the building can be used as the Kaleidoscope Center for Urban Outreach. Using community input, the center can become a venue for lectures, concerts, neighborhood meetings and more.
