Gateway Community and Technical College's Students Obtaining Success (SOS) focuses on supporting students who are experiencing academic difficulties. We help students that are at-risk, struggling in their classes, have a GPA below 2.0, are on financial aid ‘warning’, are on a financial aid SAP appeal, or have been re-instated to the college.
Poor academic performance can have many different causes. We help students find those reasons and develop an action plan to improve grades and return to good academic standing. Our goal is to help students succeed and graduate!
SOS helps students identify strengths, develop strategies to be successful, and connect with appropriate campus resources. Students participate in the program, which is tailored to help students with specific needs and issues, for one semester.
Participants must be willing to commit to the requirements of the program and follow a personal plan to help regain good academic standing.
The SOS program is now taking sign-ups for the upcoming semester! Please check out our services for more information on the program and then Sign Up for SOS.
