Gateway’s quality difference:

  • Gateway is accredited to award associate degrees by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) Commission on Colleges, the same U.S. Department of Education-recognized agency that evaluates the quality of four-year universities from Texas to Virginia and Kentucky to Florida.
  • Regional accreditation from SACS was reaffirmed for a 10-year period in July 2013.
  • Gateway has more than 250 transfer pathways with 20 colleges and universities including Northern Kentucky University, Thomas More College, Xavier, University of Cincinnati, University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, Eastern Kentucky University, and Kentucky State University.
  • The Gateway Regional Academy enables high school students to get a jump-start on college by allowing them to enroll in Gateway courses at a reduced tuition rate.
  • The “Four is More” transfer partnership promises every Gateway associate's degree graduate automatic admission and at least a $10,000 a year scholarship to Thomas More College.
  • Gateway is also are building partnerships with four-year colleges to offer special amenities for Gateway students. For example, you can earn a bachelor’s degree in human services and counseling from Lindsey Wilson College and take all of your classes on a Gateway campus. Lindsey Wilson also offers a master’s degree at Gateway.
