Finding a Journal, Magazine, or Newspaper

GCTC Library subscribes to several Research Databases (EBSCOhost, Gale Infotrac, and ProQuest) where students can find full-text journals, magazines, and newspapers.

How to Find a Magazine, Journal, or Newspaper Title Online

GCTC Library subscribes to an E-Journals Finder that allows a student to locate a specific journal title.

  • E-Journal Finder
    1. Enter the Journal Title name in the search box
    2. The journal finder will search all the library's databases
    3. The journal finder will return a result letting you know in which database the journal can be found (and will provide a direct link to the journal). Be aware that some journals may not be in one of the library's databases.

How to Find a Print copy of a Magazine, Journal, or Newspaper Title

  • Virtual Union Catalog
    1. Select Gateway CTC / Northern Kentucky Region - then click connect
    2. Under "Search by:" select Title
    3. Enter the title of the Magazine, Journal, or Newspaper
    4. The Catalog will return a result letting you know which local library has the title
