My role at Gateway: I am the Director of the Urban Center How long I’ve worked here: Since February 2004 Where I’m from: Northern Kentucky Why I do what I do: I love being part of an organization that promotes personal, educational, and professional development and growth. Whether you are a student, a staff member, an instructor, or an administrator, being a part of Gateway greatly impacts your life. I love having the opportunity to experience growth in my own development and to help foster growth in someone else’s development. My philosophy: Life is a journey, not a destination I like our students because: All of our students have unique stories. Of the many stories that I have been told, I am often amazed at our students’ strength of character, their will to succeed, and their determination to improve their lives and the lives of their family through continuing their education. A little more about me: My favorite book is “To Kill a Mockingbird.” I have too many favorite movies to count. My favorite pastime is horseback riding. In my spare time, I love to exercise, practice yoga, and teach Gateway’s first year, Strategies to Academic Success, course.
