Welcome to the Business and Industry Services web site! We have designed services and training opportunities to increase economic development in our region. From industrial maintenance and team building to computer and Spanish language instruction, we provide excellent training services to employees of all trades to upgrade their skills. We also offer training to help those licensed in technical careers meet their continuing education requirements.

Computer Skills Training

Today’s computer programs are constantly evolving. As computers are now so central to most industries, mastering
the current software can be critical to your success. Whether you’re looking to learn something new to enhance your
skills in the workplace or brushing up on program skills for at home use, there is a computer course that suits your needs.

Continuing Education Units

Professional continuing education is a specific learning activity generally characterized by the issuance of a certificate or
Continuing Education Units (CEU) for the purpose of documenting attendance at a designated seminar or course of
instruction. Licensing agencies in a number of fields require continuing education of members who hold licenses to
practice within a particular profession. These requirements are intended to encourage professionals to expand their
knowledge base and stay up-to-date on new developments. Gateway Community and Technical College’s Division of
Business and Industry Services currently offers continuing education for Cosmetologists and Nail Technicians, Heating
and Air Technicians, Plumbers, Electricians, Drinking and Waste Water Handlers, and Kentucky Insurance Agents.

Whether you’ve had no Spanish instruction or some, Gateway Community & Technical College has a Spanish class for you.
The Business and Industry Services Division is taking the lead in offering a full menu of Spanish instruction to the Northern
Kentucky community. Gateway offers the traditional 30-hour courses of Beginning Spanish, Intermediate Spanish, and
Conversational Spanish - all with an emphasis on conversation and comprehension.

We are your resource for not only approved courses to prepare you to gain your professional certifications and licensures,
but we also offer courses and workshops to develop your personal and professional skills.
