The focus of this aspect of lean implementation is on how we can communicate using a variety of visual techniques
to demonstrate that the visual control can be an effective means of communication.
This program challenges the traditional approach to one way communication. The message: “Employees are intelligent individuals
who are motivated by work that keeps them informed about how their efforts affect the outcome and gives them power and
responsibility to reach their goals.
Competencies:
Upon completion of this course the participant will:
1. Learn how to create communication areas and how to sustain them.
2. Recognize the importance of establishing “team territory”, a meeting place for the team to communicate.
3. Learn the advantages of encouraging employees to participate in visual documentation projects.
4. See the value visual production control can have in improving the role of communication between human beings and the logistical
system in industrial planning.
5. Examine how best to illustrate visual quality control processes.
6. Examine how to best illustrate process indicators.
7. Learn how to chart progress and make it visible.
8. Explore various ways to implement visual communication. |
