The Center for Academic Success Can Help!!

Need some extra help in that math class that’s got you thrown for a loop? Having trouble piecing that research paper together? Looking for a study group to practice those test taking skills? Come to the Center for Academic Success! The CAS provides free tutoring for currently enrolled Gateway students. We have convenient locations at every campus.

Requesting a Tutoring Session

Tutoring is available to students by individual appointment as well as group/walk in sessions. If you would like to schedule an appointment, email us at gw-cas@kctcs.edu from your Gateway Student Email. Check out the Tutoring Schedule to find the session that will best meet your needs.


Tutoring is a smart choice if you want to achieve your best.

Students who take advantage of tutoring services tend to perform better in class, earn higher grades, and are more likely to complete and graduate from their program successfully and on time!

Online Resources 
www.khanacademy.com is a free online tutoring resource that has videos for about every subject you can think of.

www.howtostudy.org is another free resource that helps students with study techniques for a variety of subjects. It’s not necessarily content-based, but very helpful for course-specific study skills.

www.interactmath.com is a free math tutoring site that works directly with MyMathLab and your specific textbooks.

www.gcflearnfree.com has easy to follow, interactive tutorials on computer basics, technology, reading, and math.
